I have an account with Marbles, whose application process was identical -
their site (at the time at least) made a hand-wavy committment to opening
most accounts immediately, but in reality took several days to do so. It
turned out with them that their credit checking was conducted manually, &
therefore could only occur in working hours - not absolutely what the site
promised. Not that their version of "ebanking" is much to write home about -
they are incapable of sending emails to ask or tell you things, relying
instead on Royal Mail & telephone!

Perhaps no-one really wants to admit how long these things take?

Slightly OT: did anyone see the Watchdog report on secondary cardholders'
rights (or lack of) the other night? Anyone on this list from one of the CC
companies, and if so would you care to state your company's position on
this?

Regards

Silas
