Mat, I can't say from a recruiter's point of view, but what I can tell you is
that by looking at a break down of IT subscribers on Jobworld.co.uk (it is
predominantly an IT recruitment web site) that the top skills entered by job
seekers are:

WINDOWS NT
UNIX
NT
INTERNET
ORACLE
NOVELL
VISUAL BASIC
ACCESS
HTML
TCP/IP
C++
C
COBOL
JAVA

By looking at job titles, PROGRAMMER is the 'second top' job title sought, and
there is close to a thousand with one of the following in their profile.

DESIGNER
WEB DEVELOPER
WEB DESIGNER
