Subject: RE: UKNM: Marketing Quality Domains/aka cybersquatting?

So if a domain name is not active since 1997, then you say it should be
taken away from the person who owns it? There can be a number of reasons
why a domain is not being used and it is not all about cybersquatting.

Some people register their business name to prevent others from trying to
take it, so by your definition, if I was Burger King and had
burgerking.co.uk and also burger-king.co.uk but didn't use the later option,
then I would lose it???

yes the proposed new top level domains such as .web, .store, .arts etc will
be introduced but it does not mean it will be an end to the problem? For
example, Demon has demon.net and demon.co.uk should they also automatically
get demon.web????

Oh what fun we are going to have when all the new domain names come into
force!

Leslie
