Not wanting to be too contentious, but when you say every entrant has a
chance of winning with Tombola, don't you mean that everyone has a chance of
winning before they get served up their card. As I understand once they
receive the card players don't have the ability to change the outcome of the
result, the card that is served is already a winner or a loser.

As far as we are aware Tombola (please correct me if I am wrong) use a
seeded deck, e.g. they say that 5 cards in every 1,000 will be winners,
therefore there can only be 5 winners per 1,000. With PIMS-SCA every card is
a potential winner, what David Cabrera was referring to was the fact that
our decks use probability based cards which are therefore more interactive
than decks of cards with seeded winners because the participant determines
the outcome depending on which panels they scratch. This also means
promoters can run online promotions worth ?1,000,000's with budgets of
?1,000's because we use insurers to cover any prizes won by entrants, where
the players effectively beat the odds.

This also goes into Sally Krumholz's point over the use of shockwave and
being a bit heavy on the download. As every card is potentially a winner
security is paramount, insurers had to be happy that these cards could not
be hacked. According to eincentives.com (the product providers) shockwave is
the most secure format.

However I would be delighted to hear anyone's opinions as to the security of
say newer versions of flash, which as I understand, is more secure than
earlier versions and is likely to be more user friendly.

Well, sorry there's a disagreement here

The feedback we've had regarding Tombola are that they are one of
the few sites that listen to users opinions and *act* upon it.

Whether that's engaging the consumer or respecting the consumer
really depends on your personal viewpoint and which ideal you
consider to be more important.

As far as I'm aware all participants have a chance of winning the
Tombola based games - and UK based participants have had more
success via Tombola than any US based equivalent.
