Understand there is a deal in the making with petrol station forecourts for
evening pick ups.

I gave up having milk delivered when they were unable to deliver prior
to 8 am, let alone 5 am. Throwing away all of that spoiled milk every
warm day got me down.
I have been boring people with the "we have home delivery already, its
called the milkman" for a couple of years now and have been surprised
that its taken Express Dairies so long to do it, good luck to them I
say.
My other suggestion is to deliver to Tubes/Train stations for travellers
to pick up on their way home. Order it and pick it up that evening
anyone?
Maybe this is a way that the Tube could be subsidised in London?
