OK, it was all a misjudged joke. I thought the site wanted to be talked
about. I don't really object in any way to what godado are doing. Everyone
has to make a living and the Internet offers an interesting range of new
opportunities for people to explore.
Next time I see someone write a provocative remark like

*It seems you have to have a bad search engine to get talked about on this
list, our is wonderful so no one will.* (I paraphrase)

I will resist the temptation to assume they wanted some provocative
discussion (even though I felt I made it quite clear I was responding in
kind).

I am sure a lot of people on this list recognised my comment for what is was
(reinforced by the fact that it went past the moderator). but accept that
some may not have done.

One hoped that the original poster would have picked up on my blatant hint
that I was joking and respond with an explanation of the site that put it's
good points. Sadly, I misjudged this though to give Jude credit I did
receive
this from the site today.

"Theres no such thing as bad pr, and you have given us some attention. Sorry
If I seem unappreciative."

So, I'm sorry and won't let my sense of humour tempt me into illjudged
attempts to continue provocative discussions to get someone else attention
again.
