UKNM: ADMIN: Virus problems

Hiya...


I suspect you've all been sent messages by your respective system admins or

have spotted the news stories and checked your machine for the particularly

nasty virus that is doing the rounds. I've received a couple of dozen

emails at Chinwag's central email servers sent by the virus (and they've

been duly deleted so don't worry).

and no doubt http://www.symantec.com and other anti-virus sites all over

the shop.

If you do receive a file attached to an email that ends in either .EXE or

.VBS it's probably best to verify that the person sending it hasn't

accidentally sent you the virus. Everyone should have a virus checker

installed on their machine and/or network. Enough already, you know this

don't you?
