This made me laugh, perhaps it's the heat or maybe it struck a chord:
1. '20th Century Fox' - what people are calling Martha now her share price
has plummeted
2. 'Jumped on the 55' - the exodus of old media people leaving Soho for new
media in EC1 on the 55 bus
3.'Webshites' - people who talk loudly and inaccurately about the business,
usually on TV or radio
4. 'Narda' - the process of an entrepreneur becoming a celebrity. eg Martha
Lane Fox has been nardared. Coined in honour of web PR princess Narda
Shirley
5. 'Wagon boys' - chancers copying other people's ideas and trying to IPO
first
6. 'Acroprat' - someone who can't finish a sentence without using an acronym
7. 'Dotcomatrix' - people who have to dominate a certain field and steal the
limelight. Also known as 'Space bullies.
8. 'Heavily optioned' - people who stay with start-ups just long enough to
qualify for stock options just before jumping ship to another company... and
more stock options
9. 'CEOh-no' - unqualified entrepreneurs who think they've got the skills to
run a company and be the CEO
10. 'B2B' - bucks
