Has anyone else ordered stuff from HMV online? Talk about terrible service.


I have had an ongoing email dialogue with HMV's online service.  Two and a

half weeks ago I ordered 1 items from them, all of which were shown as being

available.  So far I have received one item and numerous emails informing

that (a) they have to order the remaining items from their suppliers, e.g.


Dear Customer,


Thank you for your recent order from www.hmv.co.uk


Unfortunately the items below are not currently in stock and we have ordered

them for you from our supplier.


The items are:


TIMEWRITER                     SOUL STRUT VOL1                LS

TIMEWRITER                     BELIEVE                        LS

TIMEWRITER                     MORE PIECES: INC AREA 51 REMIX LS

TIMEWRITER                     SMASHIN FRIENDSHIP/B MORNIN PR LS

We are staying in contact with the suppliers and once we receive the items

in our fulfilment centre we will ship the items to you immediately. If an

item remains on back order for more than 14 days, you will be contacted by

email to confirm that you are still interested in purchasing these items.


Rest assured your credit card will only be debited as your order or

individual items from your order are dispatched. You will only be charged

once for postage and packing costs for part shipped orders.

suppliers and so cannot be ordered, e.g.

Unfortunately these items you requested have since been discontinued from

our suppliers catalogue. Therefore, we are unable to obtain them for you.

They will be cancelled from your order.


HMV has one of the most complete and up to date product databases in the

world. However, obtaining  confirmation of discontinued titles, can take

time to be communicated to us from our suppliers.  We always endeavour to

keep our catalogue as up to date as possible.


Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience or disappointment this may

have caused. I hope that we can look forward to your custom in the future.

5 cannot be bought ever, ever, ever (despite being listed as available

online)

1 still on order from suppliers but not holding out much hope....


Thank you I won't be choosing HMV again.  Pure shite.


On the other hand - juno records - frist class service, cheap prices and

next day delivery offf your entire order to your desk!
