UKNM: $10m for 50% of Excite UK sounds cheap

despite all the outrageous hype ('BT takes on AOL and Netscape' yada yada

yada) I think this ain't such a bad deal for BT, so long as they get their

act together to promote the hell out of Excite using all their marketing

channels.... 


....which they won't. 


doesn't bode too well for the valuation of the remainder of Excite's

european asset's mind...
