Damn - I just bought a TiVo!!

Didn't know there was going to be a box with two tuners!!

TiVo is good though (now that I've taught it what I like - or rather what I
don't like!)

Easy, Pace's XTV box. Everything that Tivo claims to be but with two tuners
(so it can tape Sky 1 when I'm watching the footy) merged with everything
Time Warner was promising from Cable 10 years ago (Targetted Adverts,
Instant Replays....).

Strangely I was reading about Tivo and their elk in this weeks (November
13th) Red Herring, it felt like I was reading Advertising Age Interactive
circa 1993 (and for reference, yes I was around then). Of course, costs are
somewhat different (now, consumer buys 400 box, then Cable Company spends
$1bn on computer hardware and $500+ a box).

As for games, Dragons Liar and Time Traveler are now available on DVD.
Having never finished them in the Arcade I might just give them a go
sometime. Other than that next year's game will be the network version of
The Sims. Trust me I've seen a preview.

Ben
