And was out and out hyped by the Sony and the trade press over the
promises of PS2, which for the trade press at least have come back
down to earth. Even Edge acknowledge that there's little in it. DC
better at some thing than the PS2, PS2 better at some things than the
DC.

All of them! :)
Also note that *all* of them have internet access capabilities, the
PS2 & GameCube being particularly interesting as they have provision
for modem and straight RJ45 connection to a network. Expect to see a
lot more unusual devices showing up in your user-agent logs :)
On a related note, Sega announced a repostioning away from the console
hardware market to focus on winning software market share (currently
their code accounts for 4.2% - they want 25%). See:
