Hi

I have just been reading all these requests for Email Newsletter
('announce') mailing list managers and I thought that I should let you know
about a piece of software that we have just started using for our site
(http://www.thegoodbookguide.com) which has made a huge difference to our
newsletter:

It allows the user to personalise their own content within ONE email (rather
than subscribing to different ones!).
It offers HTML/plain text options and is very easy to set up and update
(limited HTML knowledge is useful, but non-essential!).
You update, test and send it using an Internet interface.
It personalises by name.
It captures the users' name.
The user can respond to it by replying to the actual email or going to the
website.
It is managed (bounces etc.)
It is totally scaleable.
It can be tailor-made to suit your needs.
It is good value.

The most important aspect is that it is built as a Newsletter ('announce')
list manager rather than all the others that are really mailing lists
managers. There is an important difference between these two functions -
mailing list managers are bulk 'churners', whereas this software can provide
a personalisable experience for the end-user.

Anyway, we're happy with it. Please email me off-list if you would like more
information (johnbatgbgdirect [dot] com)

Cheers

John B
