UKNM: Opt-in email with OKMAIL?

OKMAIL, the opt-in e-mail service is about to launch in the UK

and from what I can tell it looks pretty identical to Yesmail.com

in the US.


Does anybody have any thoughts or experiences of this model whereby

publishers get visitors to their site to opt-in to mailing lists

that might interest them and earn revenue when advertisers send email

to these lists?
