No, Eidos (publishers of TR5) used this strategy less than a month ago when
they launched Championship Manager Season 00/01.

May be a little tangental, but since we're talking of adventurous the
PR/marketing push for Tombraider 5 this Xmas will be by mobile. Still
waiting for the details myself as my client is providing the technology.
