I am presently trying to promote a new award for the best in European
interactive publishing called IP TOP. Please find the full press release

I am most interested in finding out which platforms I had best approach
to publish this event, and to have as many online publications as
possible enter the contest.

IP TOP launched - Award for the best in European interactive publishing
Interactive Publishing, the prestiguous summit of online publishers held
annually in Zurich, together with international publication
Europemedia.com and Swiss publisher Ringier have established a new and
prestigious award for European interactive publishing.
The festive award ceremony will be held on 12 November 1998, on the
occasion of the 5th Interactive Publishing conference and in the
presence of key actors in the European and American interactive
publishing industry.
Europe represents the world's fastest-growing major PC market, with
sales up 17.8% for the first half of 1998. The European market is
currently increasing expenditures in high-speed data networks, and is
leading the way in digital broadcasting with digital audio experiments.
The European online market supports a wide variety of online products
and publications, with regional preferences, surprising successes and
special local features.
IP Top will highlight the best interactive publishing ventures from all
European countries, in all languages and formats. The winner of the
prestigious IP Top award is to be considered a state of the art
production in the interactive publishing field. An international jury
will look for successful approaches, innovation, design,
user-friendliness, content and interactivity. The new award reflects the
need for a European voice in matters digital.
We invite nominations from all European countries, including Central and
Eastern Europe, and in all languages. Award winners will be invited to
attend the Interactive Publishing conference as well as the IP Top Award
ceremony.
