I am glad companies like freshminds clearly state that they only recruit
from the top ten uni's - I instantly know it is not the type of company I
would want to work for (regardless of whether I am from one of those uni's
or not.
It's also possible that this policy is illegal as, like you said, European
grads are excluded (and they have equal working rights). AFAIK you can ask
for a specific level of education, but you can't exclude possible candidates
purely because of the specific academic institution they were educated at.
And anyway, if your post is technical, it's pretty short sighted to restrict
it to grads only. There are many out there who astutely avoided uni to get
industry-experience and so by the time their peers graduated, have a better
skill-base and 3-4 years of real experience.

Is that surprising when www.freshminds.co.uk states : "Fresh Minds has a
highly selective recruitment policy and only actively recruits from the UK's
top ten universities."?
You forgot to say that all applicants have to be white and talk with plums
in their gobs, etc.
My limited experience with Oxbridge minds is that they tend to be anything
but fresh on account of too much champange and Charlie (members of UKNM and
clients of eyeconomy excepted of course). But I wouldn't want anyone to
think I was prejudiced.....
