Errrr, if these grads are so great, how come they haven't got permanent
jobs?
Also the top ten universities thing doesn't work for this reason: my uni is
(sadly) no longer in the established UK top ten, yet it is still recognised
as having one of the best modern languages faculties in the country. Yet a
uni like, I don't know, Imperial College maybe, probably doesn't have such a
great modern languages faculty as it is a science type place (I don't know
if it has one or not, and it might be great, but I'm just hypothesising). So
if fresh minds fields a Mod Lang grad from a science uni, they're bound not
to be as good as one from my place or another good languages-oriented
institution.
I don't think even places like McKinsey restrict their recruitment to that
extent!
Charlie, can you defend your business model to those who weren't at the
Chinwag do? I'm curious.
