Subject: RE: UKNM: actually trying to name 10 sites you really do use and

Here goes (in no particular order):-

1. www.google.co.uk - nuff said.
2. www.msn.co.uk - for aggregated content, its a great start - normally end
up ay ZD, Silicon, VNU etc from there. Oh, and their new shopping channel is
FANTASTIC!
3. www.prontomail.com - the ONLY web-based mail for me :o)
4. www.bbc.co.uk - for those days working from home, when my 4 year old
daughter has asked me 60 times a minute from the time she walks through the
door to find the Teletubbies/Tweenies etc.
5. www.egiving.com - OK, they are a client and the site has only been up for
a week, but it serves to remind me that no matter how bad my day has been,
it could have been worse - and the donation aspect sends me home with my
feelgood factor refreshed.
6. www.messagingonline.com - the best resource for email/messaging news
7. www.uk.internet.com - for ongoing news
8. www.iii.co.uk - mainly to check how my dear old friends at Scoot are
fending off the latest (no doubt unfounded) attacks, which puts a smile on
my face after checking those stocks I was certain couldn't fail to make me
money :-|
9. www.whatthepaperssay.co.uk - the only way to stay in touch with world
events
10. www.tornadoinsider.com - because its so nice to deal with people that
can pay the bills :o)

Its only now that I sit here and read this list, it strikes me that most of
these sites are information resources - with the last 5 all sending me a
regular (if not daily) newsletter. On that note, I guess Chinwag should be
up there, because although I rarely visit the site, I have found that in the
last 18 months, Chinwag has proved my single best source of information,
learning and occasional vitriolic banter and humour...so a sycophantic
thanks to all.

Regards
Gary
