passport - hmmm - very much as i suspected - i've just been benchmarking
loads of sites to check privacy, CRM etc, and the 3 absolute demons of the
web seem to be 1. freeserve - anything to do with freeserve (they promise to
sell your data to anyone, collect loads, and the optins/outs are crazily
long and unclear - oh, and registration has now been broken for 2 weeks -
try signing up for mail!) 2. microsoft, naturally (no opt out possible, not
clear what they will do with all the juicy data, invisible network sharing
info) 3. BA (surprisingly) who don't have a current privacy policy, so you
have no idea what they will do with your data. they assure me that they will
fix this, but it seems pretty amazing, especially as it isn't even clear
what the benefit of registering is!

random combination of letters and numbers probably easier to guess than
remember!"
And my housemate's number is not disimilar to mine which makes me wonder if
they're simply incrementing the number. . . .to hsbc's credit, he's talking
to their web people this week after they asked him to at the end of a rant
to customer services
Actually, top tip if you're looking at e-comm companies is to make a tiny
order, then do the same the next month . . .quite a few companies simply
increment the order number, and you can work out how many orders they've
had. . . amazed the bankers/researchers never caught on to that one, they
might have realised quite how buggered some sites are in sales terms. . .

sufficient"
My friend loves tea, biscuits, meetings, black suits, brighton accents and
PR people, so he thought he'd go the extra mile. . .
ta-ra!
