.tv is *not* exciting. It is a con. The company involved aim to make their
cash two ways:

1) Idiots running to buy domains in a speculative manner, in the hope that
someone will want to buy "nbc-america.tv" off them for gazillions of
dollars.

2) Corporations rebuying their company name in the .tv domain space to stop
someone else buying it first.

The only time I've seen it used publicly was for the Emmy awards. And
emmys.tv just redirected to the abc.go.com site (part of the Disney empire)

The two interesting thing which the .TV registrar brought to the market were

1) The rather ingenious "Next year, it'll cost you 10% more for the same
domain" business model

2) Their fascinating "You've bought that domain name, now here are some
similar ones you should consider" technology. This was brought to my
attention by my mate at Entranet who told me it also recommended
"earnoseandthroatranet.tv"!

> in the meanwhile, I've got www.bunder.tv

Which, unless Sky are (God forbid) planning on launching "The Bunder
Channel", is pretty worthless, IMNSHO.
