Were the business models based on taking a slice of the sale revenue? When I
looked at Bags Of Time for Retail Week I thought it was a great site, but
was a bit puzzled about the fact that there was no delivery charge yet
prices were quite keen. I always wondered how they would make money.

It must be a nervous time for any dot-coms who's survival relies on getting
successful second round funding to see them through to hopeful
profitability.

A sad day indeed.

What would be really useful is a site that shows case studies of how and why
dot-coms failed. Starting with the business plan, and a statement from the
investors as to why they bought-in, and then an analysis of what went wrong
including interviews with the founders. People would pay lots of money for
info like that...
