Maybe that's because motor oil has no relevance to Coke's primary
marketplace - now if Coke brought out a Coca-Cola Ice Lolly brand values
would have a resonance

Of course the product itself is important, but the brand gives the sell, the
premium positioning, the quality associations, the emotion, a rationale for
pricing differentials etc.

Save me from a 'commodity market'

I could go on, but I feel a rant starting
