I've just heard a scientist say that the solution to the ailing British fruit industry is to 'add value' (quote) to our apples by genetically modifying them so that they synthesise a peptide which helps prevent tooth decay, thereby creating competitive advantage in the global market.


Well f**k me, when even scientists copy the language of us marketers to justify their insane fiddling about with nature as they literally turn product marketing into a science, then I guess the world really has gone mad - or am I still drunk?
