UKNM: is this a first ?

enough of all the 'dot com doom'... i was thrilled this morning to hear that

one of our clients "OUTintheUK" has (as an online created community)

achieved total financial self sufficience. i think they may be the first

non-for-profit web site to achieve this. not a banner ad or product in site.

the site is kept alive using donations from its hugely loyal 18000 members

(growing at a few hundred a week with no marketing ...yup zero).


to avoid making this a total promotion for the site, the OUTintheUK team

would now also be interested in hearing from commercial companies to joint

venture with in creating a commercial tool set from their technology and

approach. techie companies should approach them through me off this list.
