OK, so what would have happened if you'd printed the booking forms? (which
you
may well have done)
Do they legally constitute an order/ contract? I'm not sure if the E
Commerce
directive covers that.
If the directive covers it, does each national enactment of the legislation
also
cover it? We don't know that yet, cos it's in the future - but if the E
Commerce
Directive doesn't need to be law until 2002, we've another 18 months of
confusion left, at least.
Even if they held the status of legal documents in both countries, would the
people behind the counter know & accept their liability? I can't help
feeling
that in 2 years time the same fulfilment problems will still be around.
