Hi Sam,
Building something semi-bespoke using Allaire Spectra or just plain old Cold
Fusion is a good idea, IMHO. We are Allaire premier partners and we have
done content systems for a range of sites. Have a look at www.nmk.co.uk,
www.lambeth.gov.uk or most recently the excellent www.huggiesclub.co.uk.
Good luck!

Afternoon all...
I was wondering if some of those more deeply involved in content management
could provide some help. I've been looking into CMS for a company I'm
working with at the moment. The budget is tight and precludes the
heavyweight options of Mediasurface, Vignette and Broadvision, which also
have functionality far in excess of that required.
Does anyone have views on:
- Portal-in-a-Box from Autonomy
- PortalOne from Verity
- Spectra from Allaire
- eGrail (Open Source)
