On 28 March 2012 we will be discussing EIS and the new Seed EIS tax reliefs. Tax specialists Matt Rowbotham and Conor Brindley will take you (gently) through EIS and SEIS and will be answering questions such as: What are these schemes? Why do they matter? How valuable are they?

On 16 November, we're going to be talking about all things to do with issuing shares or share options to your employees, advisors, contractors or new business partner - basically anyone except an investor.

On 19 October, we’re delighted to welcome Tim Bratton, General Counsel of the Financial Times, back to Bootlaw to talk about deals with early stage companies from the point of view of the buyer. Tim will mainly be discussing M&A deals based on his experiences at the FT of acquiring companies over the last 3 or 4 years.

On Wednesday 21 September, we'll be looking at term sheets for early stage investments - and not just any old term sheets, because we'll be explaining the Seed Summit Term Sheet to give our view on what to look out for if presented with this document, or what else you need to think about if using it for your own investments.

For our last Bootlaw before the summer break, we are looking at the thorny issue of employment law. The rules on employment law are frequently changing and non-compliance can cause big headaches even for small companies.

At this Bootlaw event, we will look at what the cookie laws mean for start ups and website operators and what you are supposed to be doing over the next 12 months before the laws are going to be enforced.
