Description
Schedule How does registration work? The Registration Desk is open from 9:00am on Saturday, and is your first port of call when you arrive at BarCamp Manchester 2. Please bring along a print-out of your confirmation e-mail. Your details will be verified and you’ll be given a name badge.
How do the sessions work? Unlike traditional conferences, the schedule for sessions at a BarCamp are decided by the participants. After the welcome talk at 10:30am on Saturday, they’ll be a chance to go fill out the schedule grid.
Pick a topic to talk about - you can talk about absolutely anything, previous events have included sessions on HTML, version control and advanced programming techniques all the way to baking and making the perfect cup of tea! Once you’ve decided on a subject, take a card and place it in your chosen time slot. There are multiple sessions going on at any one time, so try and guess how popular your talk might be, and pick a suitable room.
Don’t worry if you don’t understand any of the above. On the day the BarCamp Crew will be on hand to answer any questions you have.

What is BarCamp Manchester 2 BarCamp Manchester 2 is an open, free-to-attend, participatory 2-day unconference. Unconferences differ from normal conferences in that the schedule is created and filled by the attendees with everyone running a session or talk about whatever subject they have a passion for. From Cocktail Making to Programming for Beginners, from Arduino Hacking to Photography, BarCamps attract people from all sorts of backgrounds, each sharing their expertise and experiences.
BarCamp Manchester 2 is an overnight event, you will be able to sleep at the venue should you wish.

Car Parking The University car park located next to Contact is open to the public after 4pm Monday to Friday and all day Saturday. It costs £2 and you will need two pound coins before you arrive to access the carpark.
