Anyone taking our Introducing Drupal course will have all the necessary background knowledge.
What do I need to know beforehand? A modest knoweldge of HTML, CSS and PHP would help although it is not stricly necessary.
What do I need to bring? Bring your laptop as you can follow along with the course development but it is not necessary.

Who is your teacher? Ronald Ashri has over 12 years of experience in web and distributed networking application development. Previous to focusing full-time on Drupal-based development he was a Research Fellow at the University of Southampton collaborating with a variety of industry research departments such as British Telecom Labs, SRI International and IT Innovation.
He has authored and and co-authored a variety of books and articles including "Agent-Based Software Engineering", "Professional Java Mobile Programming", "Professional Java E-commerce".
For the past 3 years Ronald has been focusing exclusively on web application development using Drupal. He has worked on a range of Drupal websites from e-commerce, to intranets, integrations with legacy back-ends and social networking sites and is an active member of the wider Drupal community.
Ronald holds a PhD in Computer Science from Southampton University and a BSc from Warwick University.
