UK UPA meets Pecha Kucha Night

Description
We are back for our July event, hosted at Sapient Nitro on Thursday 15th July 2010. This time round we are bringing you the amazingly inspirational Pecha Kucha 20x20 Night and opening the floor for an entertaining multi-presenter night.
For those unfamiliar with Pecha Kucha, it involves a succession of rapid presentations: 20 slides or images allowed with 20 seconds per slide. There is no rest for the wicked and/or inspirational!
In the spirit of mystery, our presenters are yet to be announced, and we are welcoming submissions from you (yes you!) to join our list of approximately 10 presentations over the evening.
We are looking for people to present on ANY SUBJECT, by all means focus on user experience but we really want to throw the net out far and wide and get all things inspirational on board – it might be the story of your collection of Dilbert cartoons or it might be your favourite user research quotes. If you think the audience will love it and you can deliver it in 20 slides/images, get in touch.
To apply as a presenter, register using our Eventbrite and select the "Prospective Presenter" ticket type. We will notify you if you have been successful at the very latest by Friday 9th July 2010.

About Pecha Kucha Night
PechaKucha Night was devised in Tokyo in February 2003 as an event for young designers to meet, network, and show their work in public.
It has turned into a massive celebration, with events happening in hundreds of cities around the world, inspiring creatives worldwide. Drawing its name from the Japanese term for the sound of conversation ("chit chat"), it rests on a presentation format that is based on a simple idea: 20 images x 20 seconds. It's a format that makes presentations concise, and keeps things moving at a rapid pace.

There is no charge for UPA members or presenters. For non-members the cost is £10, and for student non-members £5, payable on the door.
