Description

Digital Surrey is presenting the renowned Antony Mayfield, author of 'Me and My Web Shadow' at the next event on 23rd September at 7pm. The event will be hosted by the University for the Creative Arts, Farnham and sponsored by its Creative Advantage program.

Antony will be discussing digital literacy, the importance of helping our family and friends to understand how networks really work and why numbers + stories is the magic formula when it comes to realising the potential of the web in any organisation. This is a unique opportunity for Digital Surrey members to meet Antony, Senior Vice President for Social Media at iCrossing, and gain further insight into the digital arena from his perspective.

September’s meeting is kindly sponsored by Creative Advantage, a free training and development programme led by the University for the Creative Arts. As well as hosting the event, Creative Advantage will also be generously providing free drinks and nibbles for all attendees.

Located in central Farnham, the event will take place at University of the Creative Arts, Falkner Rd, GU9 7DS in Lecture Theatre W612. For those travelling by car there is a free onsite car park located to the rear of the University. Those arriving via train will find it a short walk from Farnham train station and should follow signs to enter via the Courtyard Entrance.

For those who are new to Digital Surrey, it is a community for like-minded people wanting to stay up-to-date with the ever changing digital landscape, and: meet-up, network, learn, share.
