Description

German interactive design expert Stefan Hermann is set to host an inspirational workshop at this year’s London Design Festival.

His workshop entitled Zing Ting is on Saturday 18 September at 11.30am at Peckham library.

Stefan will be demonstrating the Arduino micro controller; an electronics prototyping platform applied within the framework of fritzing.   Fritzing is an open-source initiative to support designers, artists, researchers and hobbyists to work creatively with interactive electronics. Fritzing streamlines the design process, making it easier to get from design to prototype to production.

The workshop, run in conjunction with studio Kuro Siwo, is designed to appeal to a broad range of attendees.  It will be of interest to designers, artists and anyone else, including beginners, who want to learn how to create physical interaction devices using the Arduino microcontroller in the framework of fritzing.

Stefan teaches physical computing at the the Interaction Design Lab at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam, Germany. He is also the author of the German version of the Arduino tutorial.
