While other news organisations are struggling to find their feet in an increasingly digital world, Guardian News & Media have reinvented themselves not as a publisher, but as a content platform. This platform approach means that Guardian.co.uk's wealth of content can be extensively searched and re-published by anyone on any website.
That's why we are very pleased to be hearing from several members of the Technology Development team about how they utilise search technologies at The Guardian. The programme will be as follows:

- Martin Belam (Information Architect) - 'Why news search fails...and what you can do about it'

The meetup will be held on Monday, October 18th at The Guardian's offices at Kings Place near Kings Cross. Refreshments will be available from 6:15, with presentations beginning at 7:00. There are only 40 spots available, and as they will go quickly, it's recommended that you RSVP right away!
