Intellectual Property and Open Source Workshop - London
Event Info
Description
Three half-day workshops have been announced by the Creative Industries KTN to explore the tensions between traditional, proprietary intellectual property rights and the new market dynamics created by open source approaches.
There are 3 workshops to choose from taking place on the following dates:
- 29 November 2010: Sheffield workshop at the Showroom Workstation
- 2 December 2010: Bristol workshop at the Watershed
- 6 December 2010: London workshop at the Museum of Brands, Notting Hill
These workshops will be run by Inngot and facilitated by Chris Grant of 14a Conversations. They will feature guest contributors, to be confirmed shortly.
The IP and Open Source Group has been created as part of the tenth Beacon Project initiated by the Creative Industries Knowledge Transfer Network. You can read about the full range of Creative Industries KTN activities on this website.
You are invited to join our Group if you have an interest or involvement in how creative industry organisations can create value from their intellectual property (be it content or technology-driven) in an age of accelerating digital convergence and rapidly changing consumer attitudes and behaviour.
The Beacon 10 project is being co-ordinated on behalf of the Creative Industries KTN by Inngot (www.inngot.com) - a "directory of innovation" and set of tools that enable organisations to define and value their intellectual assets, so that they can be used to attract partners, customers and funding. Inngot is working with a number of expert companies to deliver the project, including 14a Conversations, Coller IP Management and Step Ahead Research.
