Description

Overview

This interactive workshop will give participants an overview of the opportunities and challenges presented by the changing media landscape.

They will look at the different platforms available, be given an overview of the Markets and a break down of the genres between different industries. 

They will also consider what major broadcasters and publishers they would be looking for in a cross platform commission and explore how audiences behave across different platforms. 

This is an introductory course designed to help people engage with this changing media landscape.

Course Content

The workshop covers the following key areas:
Introduction to the Cross Platform.
Different types of Cross Media. Projects from simple to complex. 
How audiences engage with cross media.
Future devises and trends.
An overview of different markets.
Introduction to Producing cross platform content.
Different business models.
Key things to think about when designing cross media projects. 

In the afternoon participants will work together to develop new cross media ideas for an existing programme. 

Delegate Prerequisites: This course is for media professionals who feel that they really must learn about cross media/platform but simply haven't had the time and now need a fast catch up course to ensure that they keep pace with a fast moving industry. It will help participants to understand the convergence of different media formats and platforms.
