Westminster eForum Keynote Seminar: The UK mobile sector: spectrum, innovation and regulation
Description
TUESDAY, 1ST APRIL 2014
CENTRAL LONDON
David Dyson
Guest of Honour: David Dyson, Chief Executive Officer, Three UK
With each of the UK's mobile network operators launching 4G networks by the end of 2014, this seminar will consider the emerging consumer demands, service trends and opportunities for growth in the UK mobile sector.
Delegates will consider the evolving role of the mobile - and the mobile operator - in a user's digital experience. With new context-aware devices and data-heavy content becoming increasing accessible via mobile, delegates will examine which devices and services are posed to capitalise on innovation and disruption in mobile and wireless, as well as the key legal and regulatory considerations. Planned sessions also focus on the next-step challenges facing the growth of the UK's superfast mobile networks - particularly in the context of Ofcom's consultation on its priorities for spectrum management over the next ten years, and the long vaunted "internet of things", with 5G on the horizon.
We are delighted to be able to include in this seminar keynote addresses from David Dyson, Chief Executive Officer, Three UK.
At this early stage Charles Cohen, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Probability; Amit Nagpal, Partner, Aetha Consulting; Alexandra Rehak, Partner and Head of Telecoms Research, Analysys Mason and a speaker confirmed from Pinsent Masons have also agreed to speak.
Chi Onwurah MP, Shadow Minister, Cabinet Office and Co-Chair, PICTFOR has agreed to chair a session at this event.
