This is it! The SPARKies 2014 Awards Ceremony - when the Bristol, Bath and West of England tech community comes together to celebrate the best in tech in the west. Presented by award-winning stand up (and previously head choir boy at Bath Abbey) Tom Craine!
This year's event will be bigger than before and there will be a change to the format to allow for a lot more time for you to network and mingle. To enable you to chat and meet new people, the food (canapes and gorgeous bowl food) will be served to you whilst networking, chatting and generally milling around.
This approach allows more time for networking but also allows the food to come out at a steady flow and crucially, it means we can increase capacity by 150 tickets by opening up the balcony (which in turn allows us to open up a third bar upstairs - yay!).
You will be asked to take your seats only for the awards presentation (which will last approx 80 minutes) - sponsors, judges and those shortlisted will have reserved seating on the ground floor and everybody else will be seated on the balcony.
Tickets include a welcome drink (Prosecco), food and 2 drinks from the bar. There will also be a cash bar for those who need a little more... ahem... celebrating.
Timings:
- 7pm: Doors open & welcome drink (sponsored by ForrestBrown)
- 7pm - 8:45pm: Networking, drinks, food & merryment
- 8:45pm: Guests to take their seats (sponsors, judges and those shortlisted on ground floor, everybody else on balcony)
- 9pm: The SPARKies 2014 Awards Ceremony, presented by Tom Craine
- 10:20pm: Closing remarks & thank yous
- 10:30pm: More drinking and celebrating
- 11:45pm: End
