Description

Solving Real World Problems with Connected Devices: Flooding, Dementia, & the Internet of Things  By David Simpson (Nominet)

This session is part of London Tech Week!

Oxford floods most years causing damage to property and disruption to transport. It’s very difficult for residents to get information about whether they are likely to be affected by flooding so that they can take action. There are currently 820,000 people living with dementia in the UK alone. People living with dementia often have trouble organising their daily routines, an important part of maintaining independence.

In this City Unrulyversity session, David will demonstrate and explore Nominet’s current research into solutions to these problems powered by the internet of things.
