WiFi and cellular technologies have always played a very complementary role in the experience of users of smartphones and industry developments such as the realisation mobile IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) and Voice over WiFi have brought these yet closer also from a service provision perspective. High performance LTE has the potential to reduce reliance on WiFi, and vice versa, depending on the use case. Both technologies have significant capability evolution roadmaps, including the sharing of operating band in the case of LTE for licence-exempt bands. Join us at this fast-forward half-day London event addressing evolution of LTE and WiFi roles as 4G develops towards 5G. Speakers will be announced soon.
This timely half-day event, hosted by GSMA at their London offices will facilitate stimulating discussions around this theme and provide plentiful opportunities to network with colleagues and peers.
