Someone had commented on how to get a flash site to "pause" without having a
looooong timeline.
If you want long pauses in your Flash movies. Try this. Create a MC(movie clip)
in this movie clip
create, say, 30 to 50 empty frames. In the last keyframe tell target "/" for
main timeline or "../" for
one next level up MC to "play". On the timeline you want to pause copy and
paste "stop" action
keyframes in several blank keyframes in a row or sequence, then paste your
"Blank frame"
MCs into each of these frames. That way the main timeline will stop on the
blank MC, the "Blank MC
will play its timeline and then tell target the main timeline to play which
will stop in the next frame and trigger
the next "Blank frame" MC and so on.
