Chris,
I've used both in the past, but I've always come back to Freehand. I
personally think that it's more user friendly - I hate the Adobe interface,
I think it's clumsy and awkward, but that's just my opinion, don't want to
start a war here.
I think what it boils down to in the end is if you're an illustrator, then
Illustrator is probably more suitable, but Freehand is probably more
suitable to a designer. I can't vouch for Freehand 9 though.
Also, a high proportion of people on the Flash lists seem to use Freehand,
which could be very useful to you.
Just my humble opinions. It does work very well with Flash though.
