Some ISPs hang up while the line is inactive and

sometimes this happens durring long downloads

(they apparently do not consider downloads as

being an active connection). The worst place is

AOL where this happens alot, other places this

also happens.<<



I have AOL at home and a workaround for the "active connection" disconnection is to open the New Member Quick Menu in AOL.  This is news ticker.  Open up a regular browser (not the one through AOL) and proceed to download.  This eliminates a LOT of problems when downloading large files.
