Hi,

No, you are not alone. I have the same problem. Macromedia don't give a damn.
Apple don't give a damn. Flash Crashes in the actions dialogue bow 4-5 times
a day. It corrupted the files with Flash 3. With Flash 4 it seems to just
crash the system. Frederico has helped a great deal but has left me hanging
without a solution (we uninstalled everything and turned off all the
extensions and it still crashes). I don't know what to do either. I bought a
B/W G3 and it crashes too.

It would seem that no-one wants to admit that this problem exists. I've been
saving my work avery 30 minutes on a seperate Hard disk for 8 months now and
have frequently lost hours of work... I don't want to complain (but I will) -
I'm seriously pissed at Macromedia and Apple because I work with their tools
and create work (and traffic) that I feel is very much beneficial to both
(100,000 visits a month from the 0-8 age range on Flash 4 content) but I get
no reply to my e-mails from Macromedia and Apple tell me that it is not
possible to have this kind of system crash on a new G3 with nothing but Flash
installed with no extensions and no SCSI units conneted... Frederico was kind
enough to help out but hasn't found the solution either and no longer replies
to my e-mails. I now accept the crashes as part of life working on Macromedia
products on a Mac. Every time I open the actions dialogue box I expect the
machine to crash. When it doesn't (approximately 70% of the time), I'm
relieved (to say the least).

Is this a bug? Am I too stupid to be left in charge of a computer? I think
that the first is more than likely - I gave a file to someone to work on
and... bingo ! a machine that never crashed before started crashing
inexplicably. If it's the latter, Boowa and Kwala will not live to see the
new year.

Bonne courage.

If you get any joy from Macromedia (a reply for example) or Apple, please do
tell me.

Jason
