Hi John, 

I've not seen this mentioned before but I get that shockwave installer 

self launching frequently when it should not. I've been too busy to chart 

the conditions but one has been when working with the latest version of 

QuickTime's viewer and checking for any recent upgrades.


In most cases it has been launched when another program has made a web 

request such as online registration from within a program.


Have you heard any similar problems and fixes?
