Warren,

I've followed your posts on another list on this matter. I do agree with
you up to a certain point on some of your positions even though others
have been able to express them in a better manner. Anyway this is
another list dedicated to another programme.
On this list I can not agree at all on similar positions.
First a small but very important difference : The default for Flash is
set to swRemote=false, so for us lucky Flashers it's business as usual.
Second Flash is all about web unlike the other programme, and no this
does not mean the other programme isn't also 'about web', so something
like the remote is quite good.
Third, what MM marketing guys are doing with shockwave does not hurt
Flash at all, even though I know DG will disagree, in fact it could help
an even further acceptance of Flash as a web content authoring tool,
pity that they don't seem to see this and are concentrating so hard on
the other programme. I think JD is feeling this and has decided to start
crusading for the remote on this list, and rightly so in my opinion.
When Flashers start to see the benefits they can gather from enabling
the remote we might start seeing some positive remarks about the remote.

Nigel
