Actually if you look at what Miriam said, MACR is *not* in fact
releasing the installer to be downloadable off of third-party FTP sites.
It is releasable for CD or *Intra*net use, but not *Inter*net use.
Their claim is that they want to control the versions, making sure that
users have the most current one.
But the claim's broken by the fact that you can in fact release it on
CD, intranet and with such things as browser installs and system
installs. Noneo f those methods (whch MACR apparentle deems acceptable)
will permit versions to be guaranteed most current anyway.
So, Sienna: At the moment MACR is not permitting FTP access from, say,
your site for hte SW installer. At the moment they are forcing all
online installs to happen from shockwave.com.
That's the next problem I have with SW702. (I appreciate the licensing,
though, I must say!)
