Mike,

Generator is *very* easy to learn :) I was able to learn it well enough to
start writing Macromedia's authorized Generator 2 curriculum in about a week
(I'm also a VERY quick study). Of course, over the two months I worked on
the curriculum, I learned much more.

I would suggest downloading the trial version of the server, or at least the
authoring templates, to play around with it. Also, download the Generator
tutorial that's on the same page. The tutorial is meant for folks that
already know Flash and want to get their feet wet with Generator, which
sounds exactly like your situation (I also wrote it, so you might notice
"Chrissy" used in examples). You can also download a copy of the Generator
2 documentation from the Macromedia site.
