On my IE I get the "chunky lines" which seem to be just the top half of the
same logo in the upper left corner. It almost looks as if you are using a
larger Flash movie that is not set to scale to the smaller size. (like you
took the same movie as the larger logo in the corner and tried to put it
into a smaller embed and don't have the movie set to 100%...but this may be
way off since I presume it is working on a Mac.)

The swf files will run at their own speeds (which doesn't necessarily speak
towards the issue of whether the movies will be able to reach those speeds
in the machine that they are being played.) Each new embedd creates a new
environment for the flash movie.
