Hi Christian,

  There already is a couple of tutorials including a Demo Movie I made. 

All can be found at The Flash Tech Resource under general graphics. Look

for Wait-for-Frame. The Flash Tech Resource is now located at

FlashCentral. Links below.


Inset a Goto (and Play?) frame action with the Wait for frame box

checked, in a key frame before your animated section begins.


Set Frame to point to a frame before the menu is drawn but after your

animated section.


Set extra frames to last frame of the movie:

 (Total frames - Current Frame) = Extra Frames


The movie will still replay on going to back to it. But at the frame

with the wait-for-frame frame action, Flash will check and see if the

last frame of your movie has loaded and if has then it will bypass your

animation. In other words, if the movie is already completely loaded and

in cache, then the Wait-for frame will bypass your animation. Note, if

your movie is over 64K, Netscape 2 & 3 will not normally cache your

movie and therefore the movie will have to reload off the Web and of

course the wait-for-frame will not work.
